Paros sits at the centre of the Cyclades ferry network, which makes it a perfect island-hopping base. Parikia, the port, has a pretty old town and one of Greece's most important Byzantine churches; Naoussa, on the north coast, is the stylish fishing village.
Walk the old Byzantine path from Lefkes to Prodromos, and take the short ferry from Pounta to Antiparos for a quieter island with a famous cave.
☀️ Best time to visit
May–June and September–October. The windy months of July and August suit windsurfers.
🧭 Getting there & around
Paros has a domestic airport (PAS) and frequent ferries from Piraeus and Rafina (about 3–5 hours), plus links to Naxos, Mykonos, Santorini and Ios.
