Highlights
- The UNESCO-listed medieval Old Town and Street of the Knights
- Palace of the Grand Master
- Lindos village and its clifftop acropolis
- Anthony Quinn Bay and Tsambika beach

The Knights of St John ruled Rhodes from the early 14th to early 16th century, and their fortified city is one of the best preserved in Europe. Walk the Street of the Knights, visit the Palace of the Grand Master and stroll the walls.
Lindos
On the east coast, Lindos is a white village beneath an ancient acropolis with views over two bays. Climb early in the day — it is steep and hot by midday.
Beaches
The east coast is calmer and sandier; the west is breezier and good for windsurfing and kitesurfing at Prasonisi on the southern tip.
☀️ Best time to visit
April to October. Rhodes is one of the sunniest places in Greece; spring and autumn are perfect for walking the old town and visiting sights.
🧭 Getting there & around
Rhodes Airport (RHO) has extensive summer flights. Ferries connect to Piraeus (long overnight trip), the other Dodecanese islands and Marmaris in Turkey. Buses serve the main resorts; a car is useful for the south.
