Zakynthos (Zante) is famous for Navagio, the Shipwreck Beach framed by towering white cliffs. Beyond the postcard view you will find sea caves, turtle-nesting beaches and quiet hill villages.

Navagio beach is best seen from the viewing platform on the cliffs above. Access to the beach itself has been restricted at times since rockfalls in recent years, so check locally before booking a boat trip that promises to land there.
Turtles
Laganas Bay is a protected nesting area for loggerhead sea turtles. Some beaches have restricted hours in summer; follow the rules, keep away from nests and choose operators that respect the marine park guidelines.
☀️ Best time to visit
May–June and September–October. July–August is busy, especially around Laganas.
🧭 Getting there & around
Zakynthos Airport (ZTH) has summer flights from across Europe. Ferries cross from Kyllini on the Peloponnese in about an hour. Rent a car or boat to explore the coast.
